We thought long and hard about the possibility of running this event without rules but eventually decided it would not really be feasible. What we have attempted to do is keep them to a minimum whilst doing everything we can to make you safe. A full version of the rules governing the event will appear in the Rally Manual due for distribution in July. Reproduced below are some of the more important ones.
ENTRIES
Upon receipt of a completed (as far as possible) entry form and cheque, we will allocate a provisional entry. Immediately the funds clear, your entry is confirmed and an acknowledgement slip will be forwarded to the team captain.

Maximum 4
VEHICLES
The vehicle entered must be in sound roadworthy condition.
Teams are to be in possession of the V5c registration document for the relevant vehicle which must bear the name of one crew member, a certificate of motor insurance incorporating European cover and test certificate (MOT), both of which must be valid for the duration of the event. A current Vehicle Excise Licence must also be displayed on the vehicle.
Foreign entrants must be in possession of the equivalent documents required in their country of origin.
Nominated drivers must be in possession of a current driving licence valid for the duration of the event.
A Vignette allowing use of the Swiss motorway system will be required. This may be pre-purchased via the internet or at the Swiss border. During the outline ‘recce’ this process took less than five minutes at Geneva and cost 30 Euros
Documents will be examined at Registration—no document or documents—NO RALLY.
FOREIGN REQUIREMENTS
A complete section of the Rally manual is dedicated to driving on the European mainland. Some countries require that items be carried in the vehicle, for example a warning triangle, fire extinguisher and high visibility jacket. You are advised to read this section carefully when the manual arrives.
INFLAMMABLE LIQUIDS
Inflammable liquids, including reserves of petrol or diesel, are not to be carried in the vehicle for legal reasons. They are prohibited by all cross channel operators and most European tunnel operators.
REGISTRATION
Teams will be required to register before starting the event when documents and other compulsory items will be examined. Registration will be available during the evening prior to the start (recommended) and for a short period immediately before the start on Day 1 to accommodate straglers. All crew members must be present at Registration.
DECALS
Teams will be provided with self adhesive rally ‘plates’ which are to be attached to the front offside and front nearside doors of the vehicle. You are also required to reserve such areas for additional advertising as may be indicated in the Rally Manual.
CONDUCT
This is not a ‘motor sport’ event and there is no requirement for any team to drive in excess of local speed limits, or dangerously.
We accept no responsibility for any team member or team vehicle during the event, the responsibility for conducting yourselves in a safe and lawful manner rests with individual team members. The Organising Crew has done nothing more than bring like minded people together for a motor tour and is solely responsible for setting the daily routes and Daily Challenges for which adequate information will be provided.
Any form of verbal or physical abuse aimed at the Organising Crew or another team or team member will not be tolerated and will result in the exclusion of the offending team from the event.
Any instance of reckless or dangerous driving by a team or racing with another car will attract a similar penalty.
Any decision of the Organising Team will be final.
The object of this event is that everyone should have lots of fun but if you disagree with any of these rules, please do not take part
